What to pitch

We are interested in focused pieces about reading claims, assessing sources, interpreting images or noticing persuasive language. A strong pitch names one question, explains why it matters in ordinary reading, and describes the central explanation or exercise the piece will offer.

What makes a good submission

Use plain language, make distinctions easy to follow and keep each conclusion within the evidence available. Pitches should offer original framing, avoid unsupported certainty and give readers a specific way to examine the issue for themselves. We do not seek rewrites of existing articles or promotional copy presented as editorial work.

How to send a proposal

Use the Contact page to send a short outline, proposed angle and a few lines about your relevant experience or interest in the subject. Do not include sensitive personal information. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and any accepted work will be reviewed and edited for clarity and accuracy.
